Psychology of The Heart: Between Breaths - Finding Work-Life Harmony

Updated: 2 days ago

Introducing POTH (Psychology of The Heart) Podcast: A Podcast for the Whole Self

There’s something deeply vulnerable about letting people witness the beginning of something sacred.

The pauses. The breath work. The tiny trembles in your voice when you’re saying something that’s lived in your heart far longer than your throat has been ready to carry it out loud...

I pressed record on this first episode without trying to be polished. I let it be slow, let it be raw, let it breathe. And that was the point.

Because this isn’t just another business podcast. This podcast is about merging our worlds that were told to be separate; profession, business, career, and life.

It’s a conversation space. A heart space. A remembering.

It's heart-centered work-life harmony. The psychology of work-life integration.

And it begins with me—reclaiming my own voice. This is the season of my life where I’m letting things come through me more than I’m trying to prove anything. I’m here to speak from the soul.

There was a time in my work where I believed that being “put together” was what made me valuable.

That clarity came only through linear frameworks, and confidence through credentials. But the deeper I went into my own inner work—and into holding space for others—the more I realized…

The greatest wisdom I’ve carried has come not from what I’ve known, but from what I’ve unlearned.

Being human means taking pauses, showing the in-between, and not just the shiny moments of arrival—the "I made it" moments.

The Wisdom of Unlearning: Psychology of the Heart work-life harmony

This podcast —Psychology of the Heart—is for those of you who have felt the call to lead with more authenticity, to untangle the web of ‘shoulds’ you inherited, and to align your life and work in a way that actually honors your nervous system; honors your creativity. Your care.

It’s for those of us who’ve hit success milestones but still feel disconnected. Those who want to grow something real, but without losing themselves in the process. Those who crave more moments of being seen, not just showcased.

“The era of hustle as worthiness is ending. There’s room now for a softer way—one that invites clarity, alignment, and capacity. We get to choose how we lead, how we live, and how we love.”

I’ll be sharing my story. But I’ll also be guiding conversations—with myself and others—around what it looks like to live and lead from the heart with a mindful work-life approach.

To integrate, not completely compartmentalize.

To co-create from a place of grounded truth.

To experience transformation without self-abandonment.

Some episodes will sound like a journal entry. Some will feel like you're sitting on my couch. Others might shake something loose in your chest—ya know—in a good way.

This first episode is gentle. It's an offering. A hand outstretched with no agenda but presence.

And my hope?

That you’ll feel held enough to do the same—in your life, your leadership, and the way you love.

“Let this be a season where you show up for yourself in the way you've always needed others to show up for you.”

Aziza!

The title of this podcast felt like it was speaking directly to me — gentle, honest, and exactly what I didn't know I needed.

From the very first words of the introduction, I felt seen. Lately, l've been craving more softness in how I move through work and life, and this feels like a space where I can

explore that.

I'm genuinely looking forward to listening, not just with my ears, but with my whole self. 🌸

HOOKED On My First Listen! I love how Aziza has purposefully created a space for us to be soft, curious, and open with ourselves. To truly see ourselves outside of just the gaze of hustle culture and success-driven expectations, and instead reflect on how we define success and fulfillment based on our own truths and values.

In today's world, it can be hard to sit with yourself and actually listen to you, and not to the outside voices or perspectives of others. I like how she emphasizes that curiosity is a key to authenticity. I've found that what I'm naturally drawn to is often what needs my focus. It can be something that teaches me and allows me to experience…
